Meet the US credit card built for global citizens.
Karta issues premium US Visa cards to high‑net‑worth non‑residents who already have a US bank account, with no additional documents required.
Customers apply via WhatsApp, get approved in minutes, and manage their card through an AI concierge. The credit limits can reach six figures, and the annual fee is $300.
The Miami‑based company recently raised $5.4million in seed funding led by Canary, with Clocktower Ventures and FJ Labs participating. It's run by Freddy Juez and Orlando Espinoza with former American Express exec Fernando Dalceggio on the team.
By partnering with more than a dozen US financial institutions, Karta underwrites clients with at least $150k in assets and helps them build a US credit history. Revenue comes from membership fees and interchange. The pitch is a bespoke service for global citizens who travel and transact across borders. Would you open a US credit card via WhatsApp?
